About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative – Checker to join a busy team in Barking. In this role, you will inspect and verify prepared meals before they are dispatched, ensuring every order meets quality standards, customer requirements, and security regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Check prepared meals to ensure they match customer specifications and menu requirements.
- Verify meal quantities before dispatch.
- Handle special meal requests and last-minute order changes.
- Complete all required security and quality inspection procedures.
- Report any delays, shortages, or operational issues to supervisors.
- Coordinate with dispatch and warehouse teams to ensure orders leave on time.
- Follow company health, safety, and food hygiene standards.
- Maintain accurate records and support daily warehouse operations.
Requirements
- GCSE-level education or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, production, or food environment is beneficial.
- Knowledge of basic food hygiene practices is an advantage.
- Good English communication and numeracy skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable standing for long periods and working in a chilled environment (protective clothing provided).
- Flexible to work early shifts, late shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
