Part-Time Gardener Role
A Part-Time Gardener position is available for someone who enjoys outdoor work and has an interest in gardening, plant care, landscape maintenance and groundskeeping.
The role involves a range of practical gardening tasks, including maintaining gardens, caring for plants and helping keep outdoor areas in good condition. You will work with hand tools and power tools and contribute to different aspects of garden and landscape maintenance.
Main Responsibilities
Your duties will include planting, pruning, weeding and mulching using appropriate hand and power tools. You will also assist with lawn maintenance, including mowing, edging and trimming.
Another part of the role will involve planting new flora and caring for existing plants in accordance with horticultural best practices. You may also carry out general groundskeeping duties such as raking leaves, clearing debris and maintaining pathways.
When using tools and equipment, you will be expected to follow safety procedures and work responsibly. The role also involves collaborating with other team members to complete gardening projects efficiently and maintain good standards of garden care.
Experience and Skills
Previous experience in gardening, horticulture or landscape maintenance is preferred. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems and groundskeeping equipment would be useful for the position.
Experience with growing, plant care and horticultural principles is also considered an advantage.
You should be comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions and have the physical stamina required for active gardening tasks. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to garden upkeep are important qualities for this role.
Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscaping is advantageous but not mandatory. Training will be provided if needed.
