About the Role
A welcoming family based in Muswell Hill is looking for a caring, experienced, and reliable full-time nanny to provide exceptional care for their energetic 2-year-old son. Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, full-time care for a toddler in a safe and loving environment.
- Assist with diaper changing, dressing, and potty training.
- Prepare healthy snacks and meals for the child.
- Keep play areas clean, organised, and child-friendly.
- Plan fun, age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and development.
- Read stories, sing songs, and engage in interactive play.
- Organise outings to parks, playgroups, and other child-friendly activities.
- Ensure the child’s safety, happiness, and overall well-being throughout the day.
Supporting Child Development
The successful nanny will help encourage growth in the following areas:
- Gross Motor Skills: Active indoor and outdoor play, running, climbing, ball games, and park visits.
- Fine Motor Skills: Puzzles, building blocks, colouring, drawing, and simple arts and crafts.
- Language Development: Reading books, singing songs, daily conversations, and introducing new vocabulary.
- Cognitive Development: Educational toys, creative play, and problem-solving activities.
- Social & Emotional Development: Building confidence, encouraging sharing, turn-taking, and positive social interactions.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience caring for toddlers.
- NVQ Level 2 in Childcare (preferred).
- Valid Infant/Child First Aid and CPR certification.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide regular updates to parents.
- Reliable, punctual, responsible, and committed to high-quality childcare.
- Positive, energetic, and genuinely passionate about working with young children.
- Excellent references from previous employers.
- A DBS check completed within the last year or registered with the DBS Update Service.
