About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Legal Cashier to join a busy Finance team supporting multiple UK offices. This role is ideal for someone with strong cashiering experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced professional environment and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Process client and office receipts accurately.
- Handle client and office payments through CHAPS, cheques, and electronic file uploads.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Support colleagues and fee earners across multiple UK offices.
- Monitor and process deposit interest payments when required.
- Ensure compliance with Solicitors’ Accounts Rules (SAR).
- Manage multi-currency transactions.
- Complete daily client-to-office transfers and bank reconciliations.
- Work to strict deadlines while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Legal Cashier or similar finance role.
- Basic bookkeeping knowledge.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment with regular deadlines.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with CMS Open is an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player with a proactive and professional attitude.
