About the Role
We are looking for a responsible and professional Bus Driver to join our team in Royal Tunbridge Wells. This part-time position involves safely transporting school passengers along scheduled routes while ensuring a comfortable and secure journey. The role is expected to start in September and is ideal for experienced drivers who are committed to providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive buses on assigned school and contract routes.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout each journey.
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections before starting each shift.
- Keep the bus clean and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Assist passengers when boarding and leaving the vehicle, including those with mobility needs.
- Maintain accurate records of journeys, mileage, and passenger numbers.
- Follow all traffic laws, company procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Communicate politely and professionally with passengers and colleagues.
Requirements
- Valid Category D or D1 UK Driving Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Card.
- Clean driving record.
- Previous experience driving buses or other large vehicles is preferred.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Flexible to work weekends, early mornings, or evening shifts when required.
