Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our team in Birmingham. In this role, you will play a key part in warehouse and logistics operations by receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods accurately and efficiently. You will also help maintain inventory, operate warehouse equipment safely, and ensure high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, wrap, label, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming deliveries accurately.
- Manage goods-in and goods-out processes efficiently.
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely (where qualified).
- Carry out regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Verify delivery notes and ensure orders are accurate before dispatch.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and safe at all times.
- Report damaged goods, stock discrepancies, or equipment issues promptly.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.
- Support warehouse improvements and maintain high operational standards.
- Work closely with team members to meet daily targets and deadlines.
- Help train new employees when required.
- Follow all company policies, health and safety regulations, and warehouse procedures.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous warehouse experience is beneficial.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Knowledge of fasteners and fixings is an advantage but not essential.
- Valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Forklift licence is desirable but not required.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items safely.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
