About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our care team in Audlem. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality care and supporting residents in a professional nursing home environment.

Working closely with Registered Nurses and the Nurse Manager, you will assist with clinical and personal care duties while helping maintain a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for residents.

Please Note: Applicants must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist nurses with daily clinical and care-related duties.
  • Administer and monitor medication as directed.
  • Support wound care, dressings, and basic healthcare procedures.
  • Carry out routine observations, including blood pressure, temperature, oxygen saturation, blood glucose monitoring, and weight checks.
  • Provide person-centred care while maintaining dignity and respect.
  • Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report changes in condition.
  • Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
  • Support effective shift management and staff coordination.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming care environment.
  • Assist with stock control and equipment management.
  • Mentor and support new care team members when required.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and report incidents appropriately.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (essential).
  • Previous experience in a nursing, healthcare, or care home setting preferred.
  • Caring, compassionate, and professional attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Flexible approach to work, including alternate weekends.
