About the Role
AC Hotel Birmingham NEC & Airport is looking for a Guest Services Assistant to work as a Receptionist and join its front office team on a full-time basis. The hotel is located close to Birmingham Airport and the NEC, welcoming business travellers, event guests and international arrivals.
This position is suited to someone who already understands the responsibilities of working at a busy hotel reception and can provide a calm, confident and professional service at the front desk.
The role focuses on delivering a consistent guest experience in line with Marriott Bonvoy standards. You will need to be attentive to guest needs, handle requests clearly and remain focused when managing different front-office responsibilities.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Receptionist, you will be involved in the day-to-day operation of the front desk. Your responsibilities will include managing guest arrivals and departures and responding to guest requests in a clear and efficient manner.
The position requires someone who can work with precision and maintain a composed approach while dealing with guests. Good judgement, attention to what guests need and the ability to manage front-desk tasks effectively are important aspects of the role.
Experience with Opera is preferred, making familiarity with hotel reception systems an advantage for this position.
Experience Required
Applicants should have at least one year of hotel reception experience. The employer is looking for someone who is already comfortable with the pace and responsibilities of a busy front desk.
You must also have United Kingdom work authorisation and be able to reliably commute to Birmingham B40 1PQ or plan to relocate before starting the position.
