About the Role
A great opportunity is available for an Assistant Caretaker to join a professional facilities management team in Twickenham. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, building maintenance, and helping to ensure facilities operate safely and efficiently.
As an Assistant Caretaker, you will support the day-to-day management of the premises, carry out minor maintenance duties, and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic repairs and general maintenance tasks
- Keep outdoor areas clean, tidy, and in good condition
- Assist with monitoring contractors and ensuring site procedures are followed
- Support building opening and closing procedures when required
- Maintain high standards of facility presentation and cleanliness
- Follow all health and safety regulations and workplace policies
- Report maintenance issues and safety concerns promptly
- Work closely with the facilities team to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in a caretaking, maintenance, or facilities role is preferred
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and workloads
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently when required
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
