School Cleaner

Havannah Primary School is seeking a reliable and committed School Cleaner to help maintain a high standard of hygiene throughout the school. This is a permanent, part-time position based in Congleton, CW12 2DF, with the successful candidate working during early evening hours.

The school is looking for someone who takes pride in their work and approaches their responsibilities with energy, enthusiasm and resilience. The role requires a person who can work independently when needed while also cooperating effectively with other members of the team.

Position Details

This position is currently offered for 6 hours per week, worked across two days during term time. The usual working hours are 3:00pm to 6:00pm, giving the successful applicant an early-evening cleaning schedule.

The role is term time only and covers 43.644 weeks per year, consisting of 38 school weeks plus paid leave. The hourly rate is £12.71, with the annualised pay spread evenly across 12 monthly payments. The stated monthly amount is approximately £278 before Tax and National Insurance.

Additional cleaning hours will also be available during the summer break for holiday cleaning.

Please note that holidays cannot be taken during term time.

Pay and Benefits

The role offers a starting rate of £12.71 per hour. In addition to the salary, the school provides several employment benefits, including paid public holidays, five weeks of paid annual leave, increasing to six weeks after five years of continuous service, and paid sick leave in accordance with length of service.

Employees will also have access to the Cheshire Pension Fund, a Local Government Pension Scheme with an employer contribution.
