About the Role
An excellent opportunity has become available for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Maltby, Rotherham. This permanent, term-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children and helping them succeed in a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and inclusion staff to provide support for pupils with additional learning, communication, social, emotional, and pastoral needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with SEND, SEMH, and communication needs.
- Assist children in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
- Provide one-to-one and small group learning support.
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
- A caring, patient, and supportive approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to promoting children’s learning and wellbeing.
- Willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
