Job Overview
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Laundry Assistant to join a friendly and professional laundry team in Sutton Coldfield. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
As a Laundry Assistant, you will help ensure that garments and household items are cleaned, processed, and prepared to the highest standards while providing excellent support to customers both in person and over the phone.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, iron, and prepare laundry items for collection or delivery.
- Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect garments and fabrics for stains or damage and apply appropriate treatments.
- Hang and organize cleaned items ready for customers.
- Assist customers with enquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Handle telephone calls and respond to customer requests professionally.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure daily workloads are completed efficiently.
Requirements
- Previous laundry, cleaning, or customer service experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
