Samoa Ltd is looking for a Warehouse Operative to join its small team in Bolton and support the day-to-day running of warehouse operations and customer order fulfilment. This is a full-time opportunity for someone with previous warehouse experience who can work reliably as part of a team and is comfortable with a range of general warehouse responsibilities.
About the Role
The Warehouse Operative will be involved in preparing customer orders, handling stock and supporting the smooth movement of goods through the warehouse. The role includes both routine warehouse activities and tasks involving the company’s operating system.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn are important for this position. You should also be able to communicate effectively and have good basic numeracy and literacy skills.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties may include:
- Picking and packing customer orders accurately.
- Carrying out assembly work as required.
- Assisting with stock counting and checking warehouse inventory.
- Unloading incoming deliveries and putting stock away correctly.
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and tidy.
- Completing general warehouse duties to support daily operations.
- Using basic computer systems as part of the role.
- Raising courier notes and working with the company’s operating system.
- Supporting customer order fulfilment and the general flow of warehouse activities.
The role requires someone who can contribute positively to a small team while maintaining good standards of organisation and accuracy.
Skills and Experience Required
Previous warehouse experience is required for this position. Candidates should have good communication skills, along with suitable numeracy and literacy abilities.
You should have a positive approach to your work and be willing to learn as you become familiar with the warehouse processes. Fork Lift Truck experience is also required, making previous experience with warehouse equipment an important part of the role.
Basic computer skills are needed because the position involves raising courier notes and using the company’s operating system.
Working Hours
This is a Monday to Friday, full-time position. The working hours are:
8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
The work is carried out in person at the warehouse in Bolton.
