Job Type: Self-employed / Freelance / Part-time
Location: London
Schedule: Flexible, minimum 20 hours and maximum 40 hours per week
Work Location: In person
Own Van: Preferred
About the Role
YORKSHIRE BURRITO is looking for a reliable London Delivery & Events Driver to help keep its shops and event sites stocked and running smoothly. The role involves delivering stock across London while also supporting the team with event setups.
This is a practical, hands-on position where you will be involved in loading stock, driving to different locations, making deliveries and helping the team get organised at event sites. The role offers flexibility, making it suitable for someone looking for part-time work on a self-employed or freelance basis.
Working Hours
There is no fixed schedule for this position. The role requires a minimum of 20 hours per week, with up to 40 hours per week available depending on workload.
The business expects activity to increase significantly during November and December, which means there may be more delivery work during these months. Additional delivery drops may also become available as the business continues to expand.
Because delivery and event work can vary, the successful driver should be comfortable working with a flexible schedule and managing different delivery requirements across London.
Main Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Delivering stock to shops and event sites across London.
- Loading and unloading stock safely.
- Driving between different locations as required.
- Supporting event setups alongside the team.
- Helping staff get event sites ready and running.
- Monitoring stock levels and identifying when supplies need to be topped up.
- Arriving on time, particularly when supporting event days.
- Helping with the practical side of deliveries and event operations.
Who We’re Looking For
The role is suited to a confident London driver who knows the city and can manage deliveries reliably.
A valid UK driving licence is essential. Having your own van is preferred. You should be reliable, punctual and comfortable getting involved with loading, unloading and other physical aspects of the work.
Good timekeeping is particularly important because delivery timings and event schedules can require you to arrive at the right location on time.
You should also be confident monitoring stock levels and communicating when additional supplies are required.
Experience
Food or hospitality experience is not essential, although it would be an advantage. Candidates with this type of experience may also have opportunities to pick up extra shifts in the shops or at events.
Self-employed and freelance workers are welcome to apply.
What This Role Offers
The position provides flexible hours, with work available between 20 and 40 hours per week depending on requirements. The role also offers variety, with deliveries to different shops and event sites across London rather than a fixed daily routine.
As the business continues to grow, additional delivery work may become available.
Application Questions
- Do you hold a valid UK driving licence and are you confident driving across London?
- Do you have your own van, and are you comfortable with loading and unloading stock?
