About the Role
Laundry is an important part of daily life at Forest Care Village. Residents depend on clean clothing and linen, and ensuring these items are properly cared for helps support their comfort and dignity.
The successful applicant will be responsible for handling a variety of laundry tasks to a consistently high standard. This includes washing and drying residents’ clothing and personal items, followed by ironing where required. Some items may also require repair, so the role can involve carrying out necessary repairs to residents’ clothing and personal belongings.
Another important part of the position is maintaining linen stocks for everyday use throughout the home. The successful candidate will need to help ensure that the required linen is available for day-to-day needs.
If any problems, concerns or issues are identified during the work, they must be reported promptly to the Senior Housekeeper. The Laundry Assistant will also be expected to follow the home’s established infection control and hygiene procedures.
