Working Hours

Key Responsibilities
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be an important point of contact for patients and the wider practice team. Your responsibilities will include communicating with patients, clinicians, and external organisations both face-to-face and by telephone.
You will book and manage patient appointments while responding to a wide range of enquiries. The role also involves processing prescription requests according to the practice’s procedures.
Administrative duties will include opening, sorting, and distributing incoming post, managing deliveries, and accurately scanning, copying, and filing patient documentation.
Where required, you will receive and process patient payments. You will also act as a central communication point by taking messages and ensuring that the necessary actions are completed.
The role includes providing general administrative assistance to clinicians and colleagues. Throughout your work, you will be expected to support patients with sensitivity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
