About the Role
An excellent opportunity is available for a Medical Receptionist to join a busy healthcare practice in Walsall. This role is ideal for a friendly, organised, and professional individual who enjoys helping patients while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of a medical practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Book, confirm, and manage appointments using the practice management system.
- Answer telephone calls and assist with patient enquiries.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Process patient and insurance information efficiently.
- Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff to support daily operations.
- Assist with payment and billing enquiries when required.
- Keep the reception area clean, tidy, and welcoming.
Requirements
- Previous administrative or office experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Good computer and IT skills.
- Experience with EMIS Web is an advantage, although training may be provided.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Calm, professional, and compassionate approach to patient care.
- NHS experience is preferred but not essential.
- English language skills are required; Punjabi language skills are an advantage.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
