We are looking for a dependable and motivated Courier Driver to join our delivery team in Wigan. You will be responsible for delivering parcels safely and on time while maintaining a professional attitude throughout your daily routes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect parcels and documents from the depot or assigned collection points.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries.
- Drive company vehicles safely while following all road traffic regulations.
- Deliver parcels accurately to residential and commercial addresses.
- Obtain proof of delivery, including customer signatures where required.
- Keep delivery records and tracking information up to date.
- Report any vehicle faults or delivery issues to management.
- Load and unload parcels carefully to prevent damage.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service during every delivery.
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Good communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physically fit and able to lift parcels up to 15kg.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge is an advantage.
- Previous courier or delivery experience is preferred but not essential, as full training is provided.
