Job Overview
We are looking for a responsible and safety-focused Part-Time School Bus Driver to join our team in Longsight. This role is ideal for experienced drivers who enjoy working with children and are committed to providing safe, reliable, and punctual transportation for students.
As a School Bus Driver, you will ensure students travel safely to and from school while following all road safety regulations and maintaining a friendly, professional attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive the school bus on assigned routes.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
- Complete daily vehicle inspections before and after each shift.
- Assist students when boarding and leaving the bus.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-presented vehicle.
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and colleagues.
- Report any vehicle faults, accidents, or safety concerns immediately.
- Follow emergency procedures whenever required.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s Licence (CDL) with passenger endorsement or an equivalent driving qualification.
- Previous bus, coach, or commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Excellent driving record with a strong commitment to safety.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle inspections and maintenance.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in all situations.
