Job Overview
Supply Technologies is looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join its warehouse team in Birmingham. This role involves handling daily warehouse operations, including receiving deliveries, picking and packing customer orders, inventory management, and supporting efficient logistics. You’ll play an important role in ensuring products are processed accurately and delivered on time while maintaining a safe and organised workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, wrap, label, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming deliveries accurately.
- Manage goods-in and goods-out activities efficiently.
- Safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment where required.
- Perform regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ensure warehouse quality standards and compliance procedures are followed.
- Verify delivery paperwork before goods are dispatched.
- Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and well-organised.
- Report damaged goods, stock discrepancies, or equipment issues promptly.
- Monitor warehouse equipment and arrange maintenance when necessary.
- Support warehouse improvement projects and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with colleagues to meet daily targets and deadlines.
- Follow all company health and safety policies at all times.
- Assist with training new warehouse team members when required.
- Carry out additional warehouse duties as assigned by management.
Skills & Requirements
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of warehouse procedures and inventory management.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items safely.
- A valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points is preferred.
- Forklift licence is beneficial but not essential.
- Knowledge of fasteners and fixing products is an advantage but not required.
