Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and set up CNC and precision machining equipment.
  • Manufacture lens components to required specifications.
  • Inspect components to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Select and prepare the correct tools and equipment for production.
  • Monitor machining processes and make adjustments when required.
  • Rework damaged components where possible to reduce waste.
  • Maintain machinery and keep the work area clean and organised.
  • Follow health and safety procedures, including PPE requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Report production issues promptly to supervisors.

Requirements

  • Experience with CNC/DMG machining is preferred.
  • Understanding of workshop health and safety procedures.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and willing to learn new processes.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
