In this role, you will produce precision lens components, operate CNC machinery, and ensure all products meet strict quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and set up CNC and precision machining equipment.
- Manufacture lens components to required specifications.
- Inspect components to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Select and prepare the correct tools and equipment for production.
- Monitor machining processes and make adjustments when required.
- Rework damaged components where possible to reduce waste.
- Maintain machinery and keep the work area clean and organised.
- Follow health and safety procedures, including PPE requirements.
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Report production issues promptly to supervisors.
Requirements
- Experience with CNC/DMG machining is preferred.
- Understanding of workshop health and safety procedures.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and willing to learn new processes.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
