Job Overview
A leading warehouse and logistics company is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join its operations team in Nuneaton. This permanent role is ideal for a motivated leader who can manage warehouse activities, support staff, maintain safety standards, and ensure customer service targets are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations across inbound and outbound activities.
- Allocate labour and resources to meet daily workloads efficiently.
- Oversee picking, packing, replenishment, loading, and goods-in processes.
- Ensure customer orders are dispatched accurately and on schedule.
- Lead, coach, and motivate warehouse team members to achieve high performance.
- Conduct daily team briefings and maintain clear communication across shifts.
- Manage attendance, performance, and staff development.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety procedures and site regulations.
- Monitor warehouse management system (WMS) accuracy and stock movements.
- Support inventory checks, stock investigations, and cycle counts.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure all warehouse procedures and standard operating processes are followed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory, logistics, or 3PL environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory processes.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Experience working towards warehouse KPIs and service targets.
- GCSE, NVQ Level 2, or equivalent qualification.
- Forklift Truck (FLT) licence and Health & Safety certification are advantageous but not essential.
