A part-time opportunity is available for a Retail Security Officer in Worcester. In this position, you’ll help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming shopping environment for customers and staff. This role is ideal for individuals who remain calm under pressure, provide excellent customer service, and take pride in protecting people, property, and products.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide a friendly, professional presence in the store.
- Help prevent theft and reduce stock loss through regular monitoring.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to incidents or emergencies.
- Identify potential safety and security risks and report concerns.
- Use store technology, including mobile reporting systems and body-worn cameras.
- Work closely with store colleagues to support daily operations.
- Maintain high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.
- Adapt to changing situations in a busy retail environment.
Requirements
- Previous security experience is preferred.
- A valid SIA licence is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- A proactive attitude with strong observation skills.
- Passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
- Applicants must be able to provide a 5-year checkable UK work history.
